History

Deco Products Company LLLP began in Decorah, IA as a Partnership Company with four major partners.

1960  DECO began operations as a assembly & stamping company for a 1st tier Automotive supplier
'61  Purchases and installs five zinc die casting machines to primarily cast automotive switch housings.
'62  Expands zinc die casting sales to include the window and door market.
'63  Begins casting & assembling IBM cam operated breaker points
'65  Purchases and begins producing a line of medium pressure Hose Clamps for the rail road industry.
'66  Becomes a Certified Vendor to IBM
'69  Purchases a second zinc die casting company in Los Angles California.

1971 DECO installs first automatic spraying/production Powder Coating system in Iowa.
'78  Installs its first zinc die casting launder line for 12 casting machines.
'79  Begins building all IBM Dot Matrix Print Heads for the commercial market.

1980  DECO expands its casting business to also include Custom Specialized Castings.
'83  Parent company sells its automotive division.

Becomes a fully independent non automotive partnership.

1990  Deco outgrows its single line powder coating system
and installs a dual custom line rapid color change system.
'98  Becomes certified to ISO 9002-1994

2000  Deco builds its 7th expansion to its building, bringing its facility to a total of 151,000 sq. ft.
'02  DECO certified to the new ISO 9001-2008 standards.
'04  Installs its 2nd launder line, this one for #5 zinc.

2011  Deco has 88 zinc die casting machines ranging from 14 ton to 500 ton with approximately 200 employees.
